Programs
The Heart of Illinois Big Brothers Big Sisters agency provides volunteer mentors for youth through two types of programs: Community-Based One-to-One Mentoring and School-Based Mentoring.
Community-Based One-to-One Mentoring:
Youth, ages 5-12, are matched with an adult volunteer Big Brother, Big Sister or Big Couple and develop their own unique friendship with the guidance and support of a case manager. Matches meet a minimum of twice per month for a period of one year or longer.
School Based Mentoring:
This program is great for people who want to get involved but may not have the time to dedicate to a little on weekends or weeknights. Involvement in the Lunch Buddies program would require that you meet with your little a minimum of twice a month during their lunch hour at school.
